A GARDEN VIGNETTE

I returned from Michigan this afternoon after three  joyful days of designing (more on this later).  Before returning home, we drove to a nursery and picked up some wonderful mossy
pots of Myrtle, English Lavender and Rosemary, in topiary form.  Before unpacking, I had
the irge to get that marble table on the deck in order with my newly acquired mossy pots from Michigan.

The extra large Rosemary topiaries were purchased for either

side of my back door.   We had a fire in the fireplace tonight

and everytime we opened the door to get wood, that wonderful

fragrance just seemed to filter into the great room.

This trough-like container, made by a local potter (and whom

we were fortunate to have met today) was filled with moss and baby tears.

I just happened to have a little grey bird without a home who seemed to love

his new perch.
